About Mocha Way Cafe

To boldly brew what no one’s brewed before! Join us and become a Mocha Way Cafe remote-work ASSOCIATE, controlling a barista-bot located in orbit of Saturn! Using a "cutting-edge" Meta Quest 2, you will: serve drinks, take orders, clean the workspace with a Kitchen Gun, and prevent everything from floating away!

My Contributions

The M.I.X. Panel and Turrets

In order to serve quality beverages to the customer, you'll have to make them first! Introducing the M.I.X. Machine! Simply flip levers, press buttons, and press the big red button to dispense a hot or cold beverage in seconds! Each individual ingredient is then fired from a series of ceiling mounted turrets! Catch them up in the cup before it’s too late! The order and timing of these dispensed ingredients is random, making each time you catch an ingredient almost like playing a miniature rhythm game.

Interactables

Most interactable objects throughout the café were programmed and implemented by me. These range from the drink scanner, allowing you to scan the contents of your cup. The kitchen gun, the long range cleaning tool that fires soap balls to clean messes. And even virtual joysticks used to fly the cafe itself! If it’s something you can pick up, touch, or utilize, it was likely made by me.

Weightless Objects

In space, there is no gravity to hold down your food. All items in the Mocha Way Café are completely weightless. If left unattended, expect your drinks, food, and tools to float away in space! Can you handle the chaos of zero-g or would you utilize it to your advantage during food service? This effect uses Unity's rigidbody and constant force systems.
